Osteoporotic patients can improve his/her quality of life by some exercises and diet regime.

Below are the few suggestions which will help patients to live quality life.

 

Calcium

A lack of calcium in the body over period of  time contributes to the development of osteoporosis.  Low calcium intake is contributes to low bone mass, rapid bone loss, an high fracture rates As you age, your body becomes less efficient at absorbing calcium and other nutrients.  Having a calcium rich diet is important for human.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Vitamin D

Vitamin D helps your body absorb calcium from both food and supplements.

It helps your muscles move, because nerves need vitamin D to carry messages from your body to your brain.

Our immune system also needs vitamin D to fight against bacteria and viruses.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Exercises

Below are the different types of activities which are recommended for people with osteoporosis:

  • Strength training exercises, especially those for the upper back

  • Weight-bearing aerobic activities

  • Flexibility exercises

  • Stability and balance exercises
